Our Uni-Industries project in the charming hinterland suburb of Woombye represents one of our many successful partnerships with Cedar Hill Corporate Group. This group is made up of Australian horticultural companies dedicated to producing and marketing native plants for the nursery, landscaping, and cut flower sectors, alongside a wide variety of native and exotic plants for home gardening. With a strong emphasis on their environmental impact CHCG works with State government, private plantation managers, native title holders and industry associations to ensure the environmental, economic and social sustainability of our business activities across the Group.

Over the years, they have effectively utilised solar energy to not only support their ethos but power their energy usage sustainably. These divisions include ;-

First phase of the solar power system

This significant initiative commenced in 2017 when The Cedar Hill Group sought a high-quality renewable energy solution for their newly launched business, leading them to select Fronius as their solar inverter. In 2017, they installed two systems: one comprising of:

  • 33kW PV Solar Power System
  • 110 x 300 Watt Longi Solar Panels
  • 1 x 25kW 3 Phase Fronius Eco Inverter

and the other:

  • 26.4kW PV Solar Power System
  • 88 x 300 Watt Longi Solar Panels
  • 2 x 10kW 3 Phase Fronius Symo Inverters
Additional phases of the solar power system

As their business expanded and energy requirements grew, so did their need for additional solar power. In 2021, they installed a further 39.78kW Solar Power System consisting of:

  • 102 x 390W Eco Delta Panels
  • 2 x 15kW Fronius Symo Inverters

In 2022, they added another 26.56kW Solar Power System and recently enhancing the system to allow for dynamic export.

Making the most of exported energy

Dynamic export refers to a feature in solar energy systems that allows excess electricity generated by solar panels to be exported to the grid in a flexible manner. Instead of being limited to a fixed export limit, dynamic export enables the system to adjust the amount of energy sent back to the grid based on real-time energy demand and supply conditions. This capability helps optimize energy usage, enhances grid stability, and maximizes the benefits of solar energy for both Cedar Hills Group and the energy grid.
